Hello! I love to educate! If you’ve been getting information from me for a while, you’ve figured out no area of the body is a solo act. Everything is tied together. This is the case, also, with the thyroid gland. Today we’ll focus on how stress interacts with this gland. When we are stressed, our adrenal glands (known as the fight or flight glands) will put out adrenaline and cortisol to help our body mechanisms kick in for self-preservation (a topic for later). Several areas kick into gear and one is these steroid hormones slow down the thyroid gland due to a feedback loop connecting the two areas. Chronic stress is not your thyroid’s friend! | ||
We can’t always control our circumstances but we can protect ourselves from it. There are some key natural herbs that have been proven in clinical studies to help with this. I have been so thankful to have been working with these natural herbs to help others in this area.
