Vitamin D and Sun? Probably not!

Hello!

Today, let’s talk about why you can’t get all your vitamin D from summer sun.

Vitamin D is important for bones but also the nervous system, immune system, digestion, degenerative diseases and cancer prevention.

Receptors for vitamin D are in nearly every tissue of the body, especially the brain, breast, prostate and white blood cells.

Having higher levels protects from diabetes, congestive heart failure, depression, auto-immune diseases, high blood pressure, cancer….

Numerous studies show deficiency in the population is up to-93%.

Many experts think the RDA is much too low.  One said, “In this case RDA stands for “Ridiculously Dangerous Advice”.

What’s added into milk is synthetic and produced by irradiating fungi.  It’s less effective and can be toxic. It’s not what the body makes when sunshine converts cholesterol into vitamin D.

But don’t think you’ll get all the vitamin D you need from summer sun.

According to one of our experts: “If you are expecting to make vitamin D from the sun, you can’t take a shower or bath for at least 48 hrs. as it takes time for the vitamin D to be re-absorbed back into the system.”

So, if you go out and mow the lawn, come in and take a shower, you washed it off before its had time to absorb.

As the evidence for a deficiency epidemic comes from top journals (New England Journ. of Medicine, Journ. of the American Medical Association), we want to supplement and get our levels checked with a blood test.

The more I learn how much of our health relies on vitamin D the more I want to use only the best Vitamin D3 supplements. Not all are the same or work. I use and work with only a natural form of vitamin D3 that comes from the purest source in the world.  My blood tests show it works great and it’s kept my levels where I want them, for years! Want to know what I work with? I am happy to share!
